Amina Ali

PROJECT DIRECTOR

Amina is a seasoned development professional and strategic communicator with over 18 years of cross-sector experience spanning education, public health and immunisation, women’s empowerment, climate action, cultural heritage, creative industries, and sustainable tourism. Her work is defined by a strong commitment to designing and delivering programmes that center community engagement, behaviour change, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Over the course of her career, she has led large-scale advocacy and social mobilization initiatives across Pakistan, working closely with government institutions, international development partners, academia, and civil society to drive meaningful and sustained impact. Her ability to bridge policy with practice has enabled the successful implementation of initiatives that translate strategy into tangible outcomes on the ground.

Parallel to her development work, Amina is deeply engaged in the cultural sector as a curator and strategist, shaping cultural and literary platforms that connect heritage with contemporary discourse, youth engagement, and social transformation. A defining milestone in her career was leading the campaign and preparing the successful nomination dossier that secured Lahore’s recognition as Pakistan’s first UNESCO Creative City of Literature under the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

She holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Kinnaird College for Women and continues to contribute to academia as a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Communication Studies, University of the Punjab, mentoring the next generation of communication and development professionals.
