To create opportunities for income generation among women in poor communities, by strengthening their skills, business capacities and market linkages. Economic capacities, that enables an individual to contribute to self-development, family and community.

Purpose/ Objective

Kaarvan Crafts Foundation is committed to empowering artisan communities, particularly women, by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities through skill development, market access, and enterprise support. The Foundation aims to preserve and promote indigenous crafts by connecting artisans with local and international markets through ethical and inclusive business models.

Our objective is to bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and modern industry by fostering partnerships, enabling digital integration, and supporting value-added production. Through training, innovation, and collaboration, Kaarvan strives to enhance income generation, promote financial independence, and contribute to inclusive economic growth.

Principle Business

The principal activities of the Company are to enable women to get employment at fair wages by training and educating them in vocational skills like crafting (e.g. adda work, domestic tailoring and embroidery etc.), and capacity building skills (e.g. literacy, product production, pricing, planning and leadership); and to encourage women to become entrepreneur by building bridges between them and market so that they can sell in high-end market.

Status of company

Kaarvan Crafts Foundation (“the Company”) was incorporated as Not for Profit Organization limited by guarantee on November 10, 2004 under Section 42 of the repealed Companies Ordinance, 1984, (now Companies Act, 2017 ).
