I am Farzana Bilal and I am a resident of Pathanwala, District Lodhran. During 9th grade my brother passed away and amid the family confusion, I let go of my formal education. But soon found myself picking up secret ways of thread and needle — tarkashi, kacha tanka, pakka tanka and hand embroidery. Thread and fabric have simply become part of my life. It is something that I even continued to do after my marriage. Love of the craft distills down to contributing to the well-being of my family, children and society. I am very receptive to lessons hidden both in the local environment as well as the learning from the gifts of people and experiences. With Aangan, I am ready to take my work to the next level of global economy.
