Speak Softly, Listen Loudly: A Call For Kindness in Pakistan!

As a college student, I’ve noticed something that saddens me – approximately 85% Pakistanis behave rudely, prioritize winning arguments over respect, and often escalate conflicts. They’ve zero emotions for others!

I witnessed an incident that stuck with me. An elderly auto rickshaw driver was hit by a car (driver’s fault). Instead of resolving it calmly, the car driver abused and pushed the older man – his glasses even fell down! Why do we prioritize anger over empathy?

Rudely shouting, pushing, or fighting isn’t strength – it’s a loss of control. Sometimes we do wrong and later regret it. I’ve seen countless incidents like this in Pakistan, where people fight with literally no genuine reason…

We can choose kindness instead! Talking softly, listening, and resolving issues peacefully makes us happy and spreads joy. Something went wrong? Deal with it nicely. If it’s your mistake, accept it without shame.

Small acts of kindness create ripples: helping an elderly cross the road, listening to someone’s problems, or smiling at a stranger – these moments matter. Let’s break this cycle of rudeness. Be kind, include others, speak gently. It can make Pakistan happier, one soft word at a time.

In Pakistan, where we face many challenges, let’s choose empathy. Let’s be the change we want to see. Kindness costs nothing but means everything.
