Kalsoom Nawaz lives near the much sought after tourist beckon, Derawar Fort lives in Basti Jaan Mohammed, Bahawalpur. Just like her favorite gulab taanka stitch, she is full of life and has positive outlook on life. 19 years old Kalsoom, passionately carries out each responsibility whether it be a farmer’s daughter, a sister or to be wife. Kalsoom says “you can’t trust fate, anything can happen so at least I should be able to support myself if not anyone else, whether you have a husband or a family, you have to be self-sufficient. My parents wish for me to learn skills that would enable me to stand on my own two feet.”
